Tooth Implants (by referral only)

Tooth Implants explained

An implant is an artificial 'tooth' which looks and feels like the real thing. An artificial 'root' is placed in the position of the missing tooth and a replacement 'tooth' is attached a few weeks later. If you have problems with loose dentures, implants can be used to stop movement and make your dentures more comfortable, secure and effective.

Can anybody have implants?

Anyone who is over 18 and in reasonably good health can have implants. An individual assessment is necessary to decide how best to proceed.

Does it take long?

It will take appointments spread over several months to restore your smile with dental implants. We can hide gaps with temporary dentures or bridges while the treatment is in progress so you need never be with out teeth

Will it hurt?

Implants must be placed very gently so soreness afterwards is very slight. People are surprised how little discomfort there is and sedation is available for those who prefer.

Do they last forever?

Dental Implants have been in use since the 1960's. They are the most effective long lasting solution available.
